Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics Regulations for MSc and PhD students (draft) (Regulations henceforth) has been taken into effect since the spring term of 2007. The Regulations is constructed basing on past two years teaching activities in WISE and oversea graduate school training experience.

The Regulations is divided into Regulation for MSc Students and Regulation for PhD students. Both of them contain relating rules for examination, dissertation, degree grant, study abroad, PhD qualify examination, supervisory team, academic research, etc. The supervisory team system, which clearly defined responsibilities of supervisors and students respectively, is one of the characteristics of the Regulations.

The aim of the enforcement of Regulations is to provide students a better understanding of programs and the philosophy that WISE has, while at the same time by means of requiring students to comply with the Regulations in their studying researching activities and examinations to make WISE graduate a high standard qualified researcher in modern Economics fields. In addition to that, the enforcement of Regulations would also further complete WISE education system and benefit WISE faculties in carrying out their routine work.

The Regulations would be further refined and improved in future practical work according to certain developments for WISE.
