Co-organized by Xiamen University (XMU) and the Capital Operation Center of the Industrial Bank (CIB), the first seminar of the collaborative research on the transformation behavior of Central Bank’s monetary policy (from an endogenous perspective) was held at WISE Multi-functional Room A201 in 8th March 2007. On the seminar, WISE and CIB achieved the consensus on the research framework and relative research methods. After agreement by both parties, a contract on the details of the collaborative research was also signed.
The seminar was hosted by Shuxia JIANG from WISE and XMU Finance Dept.and Prof. Ming ZHENG from WISE Finance Research Center. Senior Manager Shengming WANG and Dr. Zhengwei LU from CIB Capital Operation Center, Prof. Chongming QIU from XMU Finance Dept., Dean Huailin DONG from XMU Software School and Prof. Zhiqiang ZHANG from XMU School of Mathematical Science were invited. The seminar started with a presentation of the prior research and the topic framework by the research members Ph.D student Richu JIANG and Fengjie HE from XMU Finance Dept. Then, from the aspect of practical administration in CIB capital operation, Shengming JIANG and Dr. Zhengwei LU proposed their ideas on how to combine the research with practical use. Other experts also provided their opinions on the topics related to the research contents, executive measures and analytical methods on the morrow. Finally, XMU and CIB came to an agreement on the aim of the collaborative research, which should be actualizing the integration of theoretical breakthrough and actual practice and striving to develop maneuverable analytical tools for CIB capital operation. Furthermore, the seminar had also drawn up the schedule and program delivery of the research.
