Approved by the Scientific Committee of the International Conference of Panel Data, WISE will be organizing and hosting the 14th International Conference on Panel Data on July 16th – 18th, 2007. This will be the first time in its whole history since the 1960s the conference is held outside of Europe or North America. Panel data analysis is probably one of the most actively researched areas and is becoming increasingly so as the demand for more comprehensive theoretical and empirical research render it indispensable for high quality. Recent development in panel data analysis encompasses a range of subjects and its modeling techniques have been widely adopted in microeconometrics, macroeconomic modeling and financial econometrics. It is hoped that this conference will further promote the research of theory and practice of panel data analysis and facilitate application to the Chinese environment.
