On 21st of June, Tao Ling, director of Financial Stabilization Department, The People’s Bank of China Shanghai headquarter, paid a visit to WISE and Economics Department recently. Director Ling also gave a public speech on “Financial reform and financial stabilization in China”, before which, he was honored the “Part-time Professor” of WISE.
Director Ling has long been a research fellow in PBC headquartered in Beijing. He has served as vice-director and subsequently director in macro-economics research bureau, vice-president of research institute, chair of PBC Ningbo branch, vice-chair of PBC Shanghai branch, president of anti-money laundering bureau and director of financial stabilization department (PBC Shanghai Headquarter). His main research area ranges from monetary and macro-economics control, financial system reform, financial stabilization to anti-money laundering. He has published over 100 papers on Chinese top journals and won national or ministry-level prizes for several times. In 1993, director Ling was put into “Permanent Expertise Subsidy Scheme” by the government.
