Recently, a collaborative paper titled “Political Connections, Financial Constraints, and Corporate Taxation” by Assistant Professor Youan Wang has been officially published by the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, an internationally renowned journal in finance. The paper is a collaborative work with Associate Professor Ke Na from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), Professor Terry Shevlin from the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and Associate Professor Zigan Wang from Tsinghua University.

Youan Wang is affiliated with the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics (WISE), and the Department of Finance at the School of Economics, Xiamen University. He received his Ph.D. in finance from the University of Hong Kong and his bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include empirical corporate finance, corporate social responsibility, green finance and political economy, and the application of AI in financial research. His work has appeared in Management Science, Review of Finance, JFQA, Journal of Corporate Finance, and others. He serves as the Principal Investigator of a Youth Project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC).
