On September 9, 2025, a delegation of over ten people, including representatives from the Chartered Insurance Institute, Saint Francis University, U&I Group Limited & Maritime Silk Road Family Office Service Center, along with other invited industry guests, visited the College of Economics of Xiamen University. Fuwei Jiang, Head of the Department of Finance, Zhengtang Zhao, Deputy Head of the Department of Finance, and other faculty representatives met with the guests. The two sides had a friendly conversation on potential future cooperation.
The discussion was themed “Policy Enablement · Insurer Support · Collaborative Innovation -Cross-Border Talent Cultivation, Family Office Practice, and Insurance Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration”, focusing on topics such as “innovative models for cross-border talent cultivation”, “academic research and practice transformation in family offices”, and “industry-academia-research collaboration in the insurance sector”. The sides actively explored possible forms of cooperation. This visit by the delegation from the Chartered Insurance Institute and other organizations laid a preliminary foundation for future university-enterprise joint efforts in cross-border talent cultivation, case studies, collaborative research projects, and the construction of an overseas teaching and internship base for master’s students in insurance.
