The 13th National Conference on Probability and Statistics Held in Xiamen

On November 8, the 13th National Conference on Probability and Statistics kicked off in Xiamen. Focusing on “Frontier Development of Probability and Statistics for the Era of Artificial Intelligence”, the conference attracted nearly 800 experts and scholars in the field of probability and statistics from universities and research institutes at home and abroad. Participants made wonderful presentations and exchanges on related topics during the conference.

This four-day conference includes 7 plenary speeches, 14 keynote lectures, 156 invited lectures and 75 parallel sessions. The plenary speeches were delivered by 7 distinguished speakers at the invitation of the organizing committee: Prof. C. F. Jeff Wu from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Prof. Zhenqing Chen from the University of Washington, Seattle, Prof. Runze Li from the Pennsylvania State University, Prof. Zenghu Li from Beijing Normal University, Prof. Bingyi Jing from the Southern University of Science and Technology, Prof. Jianxin Pan from Beijing Normal University, and Prof. Fengyu Wang from Tianjin University.

The topics of the conference covered probability, statistics, data science and interdisciplinary fields, aiming to better promote the development of probability and statistics as well as related disciplines, and facilitate the cultivation of probability and statistics talents and the exchange of ideas among scholars in China.
