SECOND INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON “ECONOMICS OF GLOBAL
INTERACTIONS: NEW PERSPECTIVES ON TRADE, FACTOR MOBILITY AND
DEVELOPMENT”
Bari (Italy), 5-6 September 2011

      The University of Bari “Aldo Moro” partners Universities participating to the MA in Economics of Globalization and European Integration (E.G.E.I.) – Universiteit Antwerpen, Universidade de Brasilia, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Universidad de Cantabria, Université des Science set Technologies de Lille (Lille 1), VSE Prague, Staffordshire University and Xiamen University-China – and SNF (Norway) are jointly organizing a workshop on the “Economics of Global Interactions”. The workshop will provide scholars with the opportunity to discuss their recent contributions in the following areas:
- Globalization and the Environment;
- Theoretical and empirical aspects of International Trade;
- Determinants and effects of International Migration;
- Foreign Direct Investments;
- Globalization and Development;
- International integration and inequality;
- International crisis, restructuring and growth (SNF special session)
Both theoretical and empirical papers are welcome.

Keynote Speakers:
Alasdair Smith (University of Sussex, United Kingdom)
Vito Tanzi (Honorary President of the International Institute of Public Finance)

Submission guidelines and timetable
Submissions of an extended abstract (min 2 pages) are expected by May 20th, 2011, to the following
address: nicola.coniglio@snf.no
Decisions will be communicated by June 15, 2011. The submission of the full paper is expected by the end of July.
