CALL FOR PAPERS

2006 INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ECONOMETRIC THEORY AND APPLICATIONS
 (SETA2006)
We are happy to announce that the second international Symposium on Econometric Theory and Applications (SETA), sponsored by the Wang Yanan Institute for Studies in Economics, Xiamen ( Amoy ) University , China , is calling for papers. SETA is a series of conferences focusing on new developments of econometric theory and its applications to economics and finance. The first SETA Symposium was held at the Institute of Economics , Academia Sinica, Taiwan , in May, 2005 (see http://www.sinica.edu.tw/econ/SETA2005 ). This second conference will be held from April 4 to April 6, at Xiamen University , located in the beautiful island of Xiamen in Southeast China , which has a reputation of Garden over the Sea. 
SPEAKERS: 
The conference scheme is recent development in time series econometrics with applications to macroeconomics and finance. Invited speakers include:

- Cheng Hsiao, University of Southern California & Xiamen University

PAPER SUBMISSIONS: 
The organizing committee invites high quality papers on related fields. Works on either econometric theory or empirical applications are welcome. To be considered for conference presentation, a PDF file of the full paper should be submitted to the conference website: http://www.wise.xmu.edu.cn/SETA2006 before January 15, 2006 . The title page of the paper should include the information of the presenter: full name, affiliation, email address, phone number, and fax number. The decision of acceptance will be made no later than February 10, 2006 . Partial travel support for presentors is possible, subject to the budget constraint and the recommendation of the program committee.

Founded in 1901, Shandong University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in China.  A subordinate to Shandong University, Center for Economic Research (CER) is a university-level institute for scientific research and graduate student training and was founded in 2001. With emphases on both applied and theoretical economics, CER has made significant contribution to foundational research in various subject areas of economic theory.  CER is striving for a first- class research institute in China, and is promoting research and academic exchange nation-wise and internationally.
