2008年夏季短学期（从6月16日到7月26日），WISE和经济学院经济学系共同邀请加拿大卡尔顿大学陈智琦教授、美国南加州大学萧政教授、美国雪城大学Chihwa Kao教授、美国范德比尔特大学李彤教授、美国科罗拉多丹佛大学Jian Yang教授、比利时安特卫普大学Wim Meeusen教授等6位海外学者为厦大经济学科广大师生开设经济学高级专题课程。这6位国外知名教授将于夏季短学期在厦门大学讲授《面板计量经济学高级专题(Advanced Topics in Panel Data Economics)》、《宏观经济学与金融学高级专题(Advanced Topics in Macroeconomics and Finance)》、《工业组织与拍卖高级专题(Advanced Topics on Industrial Organization and Auction)》等三门课程。
