2008年夏季短学期（从6月16日到7月26日），WISE和经济学院经济学系共同邀请加拿大卡尔顿大学陈智琦教授、美国南加州大学萧政教授、美国Syracuse大学Chihwa Kao教授、美国Vanderbilt大学Tong Li教授、美国Colorado Denver大学的Jian Yang教授、比利时安特卫普大学Wim Meeusen教授，这六位国外知名教授将于夏季短学期在厦门大学教授计量经济学、宏观经济学和微观经济学三门高级专题。
这三门课程分别是：
