It is our great pleasure to announce that Wang Yanan Institute of Studies in Economics and School of Economics at Xiamen University will host “The International Symposium on Recent Developments in Econometric Theory with Applications” in honor of Professor Takeshi Amemiya from June 20 to June 21, 2015, on the main campus (Xiamen Island) of Xiamen University. This symposium is sponsored by National Science Foundation of China
The main goal of this international symposium is to bring the econometricians or economists from the world to Xiamen to create a great environment for discussions and exchanges in the modern econometrics research frontiers and also to celebrate Professor Amemiya on his fundamental contributions to econometric theory and various applications, in particular the econometric theory. The theme of this symposium focuses mainly on but is not limited to econometric theory and micro-econometrics, the main research fields of Professor Amemiya.
