"You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town..." 
This year, the WISE International Student Association, “WISA” established by Wendy Citra from Indonesia, Anny Huang Xu from Colombia, Cindy Wang from South Africa and Marco Daccarett from Mexico, decided to organize a sumptuous Christmas dinner for all students at Xiamen University.
Knowing that we are all studying in China and it is almost impossible for us to return home just for this important day, the event was held in “ECO Café” in the Economics Building of Xiamen University. More than 50 Chinese and foreign students attended the event. It was a great chance to make new friends and spend a great time with an exquisite dinner, games and carols full of Christmas spirit, and at the end, a champagne toast filled with happiness, peace and love. It was a way for all those students that are away from home to forget distance for a while and share with others this important festivity. After enjoying the warm evening, everybody went back home with a small gift from the “Secret Santa Game”. Thus every person got the chance to receive a new friend, a big hug and a Christmas gift. Thanks to WISA for organizing this kind of events. We look forward to more activities where Chinese and foreign students can get together, and learn from each other different customs, ways of interactions and beliefs, to put aside our cultural differences and unite together.
