Master of Economics in Population, Resources and Environmental Economics

Objectives

The program is designed to mainly train students with solid analytical and quantitative skills in the fields of energy and environmental protection. Graduates are expected to be equipped with knowledge and research methods of economic modeling, forecasting and policy analysis, as well as professional knowledge and ability to work in investment, consulting, industry analysis, policy making and analysis in the energy and environmental protection fields, or to engage in environmental management in domestic or overseas corporations, or in environmental affairs management in public sectors or social organizations domestic or overseas corporations.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens generally under the age of 45 at the time of applying, be in good health, and possess a valid passport.
  • Applicants should hold a recognized bachelor's degree or above.
  • Applicants should present a TOEFL certificate with a score of 80 or above, or an IELTS certificate with a score of 6.0 or above, or other certificate of English proficiency from an accredited test. Native English speakers are exempt from this requirement. Applicants who have taken courses in English during their bachelor's degree studies should provide a medium-of-instruction certificate.
  • The ability to demonstrate relevant professional experience will be given individual consideration.
